Information(s) stored in FCD (Flora Croatica Database) are intended only for usage in non-commercial purposes (i.e. science, education). Power up the FCD data as an item in commercial offers (i.e. environmental studies, elaborates) is not allowed. Every data stored in FCD have author(s). Use of any data commit user to respect authorization and to cite author(s) correctly.

Authors are:

  1. author(s) of published reference which are used as an data source for FCD
  2. collector(s) of herbarium specimen which label or/and photo is stored in FCD
  3. author(s) of field list stored in  FCD
  4. database editor

 

A/ Distribution map generated by FCD MapSurfer contain numerous data from the different sources (literature, collections, field observations). In the case of map usage in scientific, expert or other papers and/or other presentations, it is necessarily to quote all sources (i.e. full literature citation, herbarium samples, etc.) used for map production on usual way. The data available only in FCD, i.e. not published elsewere, should be quoted for example:

 

B/ Check list of some area generated by FCD facilities contain numerous data from the different sources (literature, collections, field observations). In the case of such check list usage in scientific, expert or other papers or/and other presentations, it is necessarily to quote all sources (i.e. full literature citation, herbarium samples, etc.) used for check list production on usual way. The data available only in FCD, i.e. not published elsewere (mostly field obseravtions), should be quoted for example:

 

C/ For general usage of FCD facilities and results (synonyms, lists of endemic plants, threatened plants, floristic lists analysis, localities geocoding, etc.) for any kind of papers and/or presentations, as well as in previous cases (A, B) database should be quoted as an editorial work:

 

Note: the user could check the accuracy od used data, original sources pointed in FCD (i.e. literature, herbarium specimen), and intervene in case of contingent correction of wrongly given quotation.
